BioI'm a graduate student at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I'm earning an MA-TESL because I enjoy teaching English to speakers of other languages. My teaching persona and Web site are called Language-Power Tutoring. As a child I always wanted to be a teacher, and in the 7th grade I became fascinated with the French language and culture. I followed that fascination for nearly 12 years. To bring teaching and French together, I became a French and art high school teacher in 1990 (art was my second passion). Teaching high school was the hardest year of my life. Because I couldn't relate to high school students, so I decided to pursue a career in office administration and graphic design. I rediscoverd teaching when I decided to volunteer at Literacy Austin. English teachers for small groups were in high demand, so I gave it a try. Little did I know that I would LOVE it. My goal is to teach adults in adult education programs as well as community college or university settings.
